What was once a loved-up union (as they always are) has turned into a bitter feud between Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry, her ex-boyfriend and father of their daughter, Nahla, who turns 3 next month. The two are battling it out for custody of their little girl, with Halle even pulling out of her role in New Year’s Eve to take Gabriel to court. In December Gabriel filed papers to establish his paternity, and there are reports that he was racist during their relationship and even used the N-word against Halle. Now the latest part of the drama involves one Kim Kardashian. Gabriel and Kim were spotted together at a Lakers game last November and the sight of them distressed Halle, with a source telling People.com, “She was upset at the idea of someone like that being in her daughter’s life. She did not want a reality star in Nahla’s life. She was very aggravated.” This recent turn of events is a complete 180 from when Halle and Gabriel had announced their amicable split last April.

There were SO many splits in 2010—some of them we saw coming, but quite a few of them were seemingly out of the blue. Lots of long-term relationships ended including Courteney Cox and David Arquette, Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry and Eva Longoria and Tony Parker. But the biggest surprise had to be the cheating scandal involving Sandra Bullock and Jesse James. In a Tiger Woods-worthy effort, Jesse racked up some rather interesting mistresses. It was especially shocking because Jesse cried when Sandra won the Oscar in March and seemed so devoted. The scandal broke soon after and Sandra didn’t stand by her man. The two ended up divorcing a few months later, with Sandra adopting a baby boy as a single mother. Jesse is now dating LA Ink star Kat Von D, while Sandra is ridin’ solo with little baby Louis. Sandra also retained her status as America's Sweetheart and her integrity, but Jesse...not so much.
Kim Kardashian had an interesting new date for the Lakers game in LA on Sunday night. She arrived at the Staples Center with Halle Berry's ex, Gabriel Aubry, and then the duo sat courtside to watch her brother-in-law, Lamar Odom, and his team beat the Golden State Warriors. Her sister Khloe was also there taking in the action with newly engaged Monica, though Kourtney Kardashian had a rough day following her son Mason's allergic reaction to peanut butter. Kim is out on the West Coast again following a stint in the Big Apple to open a branch of her store Dash, also finding time to attend fashion parties and promote her Bebe designs. Her trip coincided with a front-page article in the NY Times's Style section, in which a columnist tried to explain her popularity to baffled New Yorkers.
It’s SO on! There have been rumours circulating that Halle Berry was hooking up with Kylie Minogue’s ex Olivier Martinez and now we have proof! The two have been filming Dark Tide together and People magazine has a pic of the two kissing in Olivier’s hometown of Paris. Olivier and Kylie were together for four years and broke up shortly after she beat breast cancer. He was dating Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley earlier this year, but she’s now moved onto Jason Statham, Sophie Monk’s ex. Hands up, who needs a flow chart to keep track of this? Anyhoo, I have to say I’m still team Gabriel after seeing this video. What do you think of Halle and Olivier — do you rate it or hate them? Sound off below!
Gabriel Aubry got back into modeling to go shirtless in a new ad campaign for Charisma bed linens. The company previously tapped Jason Lewis to promote their sheets, but now it's Gabriel's turn to have the semi-nude spotlight. Mr. Aubry is a single man once again after splitting from Halle Berry earlier this year, so tell us what you think of the sight of him without a top on in bed—do you wanna crawl right in or would you rather sleep alone?
Halle Berry is the first black woman to appear on the cover of Vogue US' September issue—considered to be the year's most important—since Naomi Campbell in 1989. Inside the issue Halle opens up about her split from Gabriel Aubry and their daughter, Nahla. Before taking off for South Africa to work on Dark Tide, Halle spoke with the magazine's Jonathan Van Meter about the public's misconceptions of her and tried to set the record straight. Halle said:
- On breaking up with Gabriel: "It's just that you realise you are not meant to go the distance with everybody. We were meant to bring this amazing little person into the world. And I think that's why we came together. And because of that, we are going to be together forever, all three of us. We are a family until we are not here anymore."
- On staying friends for Nahla: "We have always been friends, we're still friends, we love each other very much and we both share the love of our lives. And we are both 100 percent committed to being the best parents we can be. And while it was not a love connection for us, he was absolutely the right person to have this child with because she is going to have an amazing father. And that was really important to me. We'll make sure we always do what is right for her and put her first. And she will see as she grows that we have a lot of love for each other."
- On doing her first interview in three years: "I was burned-out with having other people tell the story about me that they wanted to tell. I told my publicist, 'I'm not going to talk anymore. I'm just going to live my life and be who I am.'"
